The monastery of Agion Akindinon at Ptalidi is now abandoned but it is well worth the short drive up the dirt road to experience the quiet tranquillity and beauty of the area. Some of the old olive trees are simply amazing. This is simply a beautiful place to listen to birds sing and to let your worries drift away.
