About Robin

We started visiting Lesvos such a long time ago we can't remember when. We simply fell in love with the island in general and Molyvos in particular. In 2005 we bought some land and tried to manage the building of our house from the UK. Holidays became site visits and our house was [mostly] completed in 2007. In 2009 we sold up in the UK and moved to Molyvos. This is now our home and we count ourselves amongst the luckiest of the lucky. I am a member of the Molyvos Tourist Association, providing photographs for their brochures and general publicity. Most of my time is spent on activities to encourage tourism or taking photographs of one of the most beautiful places on earth. I also produce calendars and sell them on-line through Lesvos Calendars. Please visit and have a look. You can also see more of my photographs on my  Robin Sanders Photography website.

Lesvos Landscapes

Lesvos LandscapesThe 3rd edition of Lesvos Landscapes by Brian and Eileen Anderson is now available. It has been updated for 2014 and is a useful source of information about Lesvos as well as containing walks and car tours to get you up off your sunbed and out exploring the wonders of the island.

The second edition has been a useful addition to our collection for the past 5 years. It has been out on walks with us and kept us company in the car, so it is beginning to look just a little ‘loved’. The book includes five car tours which should give inspiration to those less adventurous or able. Lesvos is beautiful and full of hidden wonders. This guide will help you find some of those treasures.

You can read more about the book as well as find places to buy a copy by clicking on the Sunflower Books banner below.

Here is your opportunity…..

You can sing along for the full effect (in the language of your choice).

The video above is not from Lesvos, but I will try to put that right over the next few days. So if you are planning a visit to our house look out for the video camera!

Molyvos Christmas Fair 2013

Molyvos Christmas Fayre 2013The weather for the Molyvos Christmas Fayre was beautiful, and people from all over Lesvos came to enjoy the fun. Snow was promised by the organisers, and YES, it did snow!

Each year the school playground is the home for the Molyvos Christmas Fayre. The event raises money for the school in Molyvos and each year it seems to get bigger and better. Of course Santa popped in to check that all the children were being good. There was lots of singing, lots of dancing and a variety of stalls to enjoy. Including the essentials like Hot Dogs and Glüwein.

Thank you to blackdogprd.blogspot.gr for the video below.
